SHENYANG, CHINA – August 28, 2024 – Shenyang Baoruitong Automation Equipment Co., Ltd. (BRT) has won a door, window, curtain wall and thermal insulation equipment relocation service project of a building and steel structure testing and certification research institute in Chongqing, with a contract value of approximately CNY 200,000. The award was announced in the official bid result notice.
A Technical Service Project, Not an Equipment Purchase
Unlike a conventional equipment procurement, this project is a laboratory technical service. The scope covers the complete relocation chain for the institute’s existing steady-state thermal insulation testing equipment for doors, windows and curtain walls: disassembly, protective packaging, transportation, re-installation and positioning at the new site, complete machine commissioning and metrological calibration.
After the relocation, the equipment must deliver measurement data that meets metrological specification requirements, allowing the customer’s laboratory to restore its testing qualification quickly and without interrupting daily inspection business.
Why Large Thermal Test Rigs Demand Specialist Handling
Large thermal insulation testing equipment is structurally intricate. Sensors, temperature control systems and calibrated airflow paths are extremely sensitive to disassembly, transport shocks and re-positioning; careless handling can easily cause accuracy drift or component damage. A successful relocation therefore requires a detailed method statement, torque and alignment records, and post-move verification against pre-move baselines.
A typical relocation sequence starts with a pre-move survey: documenting wiring, piping and sensor positions, photographing reference alignments and backing up control software configurations. Components are then marked, disassembled in a defined order and packed with shock protection. At the new site, the rig is re-assembled against the original layout records, re-levelled, re-wired, leak-checked and finally recalibrated before it is released back into service.

BRT has many years of experience in relocating, calibrating and servicing large test equipment. Its engineers are familiar with the structures of thermal insulation and curtain wall test rigs of all types, and work with complete relocation implementation plans and risk contingency plans.
Service projects like this one also deepen the customer relationship in both directions: the engineers who dismantle and re-commission a rig learn its condition in detail and can advise the laboratory on wear parts, software updates and future upgrades. For research institutes that plan to operate their equipment for many years, having the manufacturer itself handle relocation removes a significant operational risk from the site-move schedule.
Implementation Plan
Once the project started, BRT prepared a dedicated relocation plan and is implementing it step by step under strict control of every stage — pre-move documentation, controlled disassembly, shock-protected transport, precision re-alignment and final calibration — to ensure that the equipment reaches its original accuracy class and runs stably at the new site.

More Than New Equipment Sales
In addition to manufacturing new testing instruments, BRT provides technical services for large testing equipment throughout its life cycle: relocation, repair, calibration and upgrade and retrofit. The same engineering team that builds BRT’s single burning item (SBI) test systems, Brandschacht test apparatus and vertical fire resistance test furnaces also carries out commissioning and calibration services for laboratories nationwide.
Contact
Laboratories planning a site move or equipment upgrade are welcome to contact BRT for a relocation and calibration service proposal.
