SHENYANG, CHINA – March 6, 2023 – Shenyang Baoruitong Automation Equipment Co., Ltd. (BRT) has won a fire product testing instruments procurement project (third tender round) of a county-level construction engineering quality testing station in northern Anhui Province, with a contract value of approximately CNY 1.1 million — the largest single award in the company’s public bidding record to date.
The customer undertakes the supervision and inspection of fire product quality in its region. Fire products — including fire extinguishing equipment, fire doors, hydrant systems and related components — must be verified against national standards before they can be installed in buildings, and regional testing stations provide the testing infrastructure for this supervision work.
Building a Standardized Fire Product Testing Laboratory
Under this project, BRT will build a standardized fire product testing laboratory for the customer. The supply covers a fire hydrant box stiffness test bench together with a complete set of specialized fire product testing instruments, covering multiple national standard test items for fire products and completing the regional fire product quality supervision and testing capability.
Compliance requirements in fire testing equipment are strict: every indicator of the equipment must match the applicable national standards for fire products, and instruments used in regulatory testing are held to exceptionally high requirements for long-term stability and data traceability, because their results support enforcement and market supervision decisions.
A standardized fire product laboratory also changes what a regional testing station can do for local manufacturers. Instead of sending hydrant boxes, fire door assemblies and other components to distant provincial institutes, samples can be tested locally with shorter queues, and supervision sampling can be scheduled more frequently — which in turn raises the consistency of fire product quality across the construction market the station serves.
The fire hydrant box stiffness test bench at the center of this supply is a good example of how specific fire product testing is: the bench applies defined static loads to installed hydrant cabinet assemblies and measures deformation and residual function, so that cabinets reaching building sites can actually withstand installation and service conditions. Benches of this kind must be built to the relevant standard’s loading pattern and acceptance criteria, which is why they are engineered to order rather than sold as generic frames.
